AI History Taking (Structured DSM-5 Intake)

AI History Taking (?page=ai-history) runs structured, DSM-5-aligned intake interviews with a patient, powered by AI. It's designed to speed up first-visit history gathering while automatically flagging risk (e.g., suicidal ideation) during the interview itself.

Step-by-step

  1. Go to AI History (or start it directly from a patient's record / after registration via "Save & Start AI Intake").
  2. Select the patient.
  3. Start the session — the AI guides a structured conversation covering presenting complaint, history, and relevant DSM-5 domains.
  4. Risk flags (e.g., SI mentioned) are captured automatically during the session.
  5. On completion, review the structured summary and save it into the patient's clinical notes.

Dashboard stats shown

  • Total sessions run, sessions today, how many were flagged for risk (SI), and how many were fully completed.

Common issues & fixes

an intake that was started but not finished stays "in progress"; resume or restart as needed.
always have a clinician review flagged sessions promptly; the flag is a prompt for human review, not an automatic action.
