QR Patient Lookup (ipd/pages/qr_patient.php) lets any logged-in IPD staff member scan a patient's wristband QR code to instantly pull up their key IPD record — name, DOB, gender, blood group, allergies, phone, ward/bed, admitting doctor, and primary nurse — without manually searching.

Step-by-step

Scan the patient's wristband QR code with a phone or ward-terminal scanner.
The lookup opens directly to that patient's summary.
Use this at the bedside to quickly confirm patient identity before administering medication, drawing labs, or performing a procedure.

Common issues & fixes

check the wristband print quality; a faded or damaged QR code may need reprinting.

verify the wristband actually belongs to the patient in front of you; mismatched wristbands should be corrected immediately as a safety issue.
